Geocatching at Pine Banks Park

|

Feel like going on a little adventure? Well we have just the challenge for you! We at Pine Banks Park recently learned about an activity called “Geocatching”. According to the official website, Geocatching is a, “real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices [where]  participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.” Still confused? It’s basically a treasure hunt. And when you find the geocache you take one thing from it and leave another of, “equal or greater value,” and sign the log book. What’s really cool is that we found out that there are two geocaches already hidden in Pine Banks Park! Below this article are the links to find their locations as well as the link to a page better explaining what geocaching is. Hopefully some of you will go on this adventure and we would love to see pictures of what you find!
